Wool Felt Desk Mat – Large Felt Desk Pad with Non-Slip Backing for Keyboard & Mouse, 4 Sizes up to 50 x 100 cm

The polished wooden desk that already shows its first scratches after three months of typing

That moment at your desk when the mouse moves unevenly across the bare wood surface and the keyboard clatters loudly with every keystroke. The expensive solid wood or glass desk that shows its first micro-scratches from keyboard feet and mug bases after just a few weeks. The spilled sip of coffee that lands directly on the wooden surface. This large wool felt desk mat solves all that with three features: soft felt for the mouse, a cushioning layer to reduce clatter, and an anti-slip backing to protect the desk surface.

What makes this desk mat different

• Smooth wool felt surface for precise mouse movement – the finely textured felt surface offers consistent friction for the mouse, whether you use a standard office mouse or a gaming mouse. Unlike bare wood or glass desks, where optical sensors can sometimes skip.
• Anti-slip backing with a drip-molded texture – the textured underside grips smooth desk surfaces and helps prevent slipping, even when you move the keyboard and mouse with pressure.
• Protection for wood, glass, and lacquered surfaces – the felt layer creates a soft buffer between your keyboard, mouse, books, mugs, pens, and the desk surface. The scratch-resistant surface helps keep scratches, pressure marks, and small coffee drips off the desktop.
• Wool felt absorbs small amounts of moisture – a small spilled drop is absorbed by the felt fibers instead of running directly onto the wood underneath. A quick wipe is usually enough to clean the spot.
• Sound-dampening felt layer – the soft material can reduce the clatter of mechanical keyboards and the noise of setting down mugs or pens, especially in an open-plan home office or at a shared desk.
• Large work area – the mat covers the entire main work area, from the monitor stand to the edge of the desk, giving your keyboard, mouse, notebook, and smartphone space on one continuous surface.
• About 3 mm thick for cushioned comfort – the subtle padding gives your wrists and forearms a softer surface than the hard desk, without noticeably changing your natural typing height.
• Leather/felt corner loop – the small loop serves as a handle, making it easy to lift the mat to wipe underneath or remove it on cleaning day.

Who it's made for

For people who work from home and want to protect their expensive solid wood or glass desk from everyday micro-scratches. For prolific writers and typists who find the loud clatter of mechanical keyboards on hard surfaces distracting. For mouse users whose optical sensors behave erratically on glass or high-gloss desks. For gamers and designers who want a large, even work and play area for mouse movement. For renters who need to protect a furnished desk from wear. For students who need more room to write and use a laptop side by side. And for anyone who wants to give their desk setup a warm, stylish look.

Lay it out, clean it, and care for it

Lay the desk mat flat before first use to let any creases from shipping relax. For deeper creases, leave the mat flat under a weight overnight. Place the anti-slip side down and center it on the desk so your keyboard, mouse, and monitor stand fit comfortably on it. The mat grips securely on smooth desk surfaces; grip may be weaker on very textured or rubberized desks. Place your keyboard, mouse, notebooks, and smartphone directly on the felt surface. For small debris, use a brush or lint roller to remove it. For liquid spills, blot immediately with an absorbent cloth; don't rub, so the moisture doesn't spread through the felt. For tougher stains, use a damp cloth with lukewarm water and a drop of mild cleaner, blot gently, then blot with a dry cloth and let it air-dry completely. Do not machine-wash the felt, as it may shrink and lose its shape. Do not place hot items such as hot mugs or soldering irons directly on the mat, as prolonged heat can damage the material. If storing it for an extended period, roll it loosely rather than folding it sharply to avoid permanent creases.

For anyone who wants to protect their desk from scratches and enjoy a softer, quieter surface for typing, writing, and clicking.
